Last week Womens Walter Payton Jersey , the NFL announced out of the blue a tweak not to the official rule book but to the collection of “approved rulings” regarding a very obscure and specific scenario that, according to league, had never before happened in an NFL game. It was a surprising move for a league that typically waits for very obscure and specific scenarios to happen, before making the changes aimed at preventing them from happening again. And, of course, it wasn’t that very obscure and specific scenario but a similar one that happened on Sunday night in Chicago.Last week, the league determined that an incomplete pass that becomes via replay review a quarterback fumble that had bounced into the end zone without a clear recovery is a safety, and not simply an incomplete pass. Per a league source, that determination resulted from an end-of-season review by officiating supervisors, who tried to identify along with Al Riveron and Russell Yurk specific worst-case scenarios that rarely if ever arise. It’s a noble effort, but as the Eagles-Bears game proved they need to look harder for rules that cry out for change.Buried in the replay-review casebook is a provision that inexplicably keeps as an incomplete pass a play that would have been overturned to a catch if what would have become a fumble isn’t clearly recovered. Given the relative speed with which Riveron and referee Tony Corrente identified the provision in real time, it wasn’t all that obscure or hidden or unknown.Which means that the provision should have been fixed, along with the rule that was fixed last week.Make no mistake about it: The rule will surely be changed moving forward. In should be ruled a catch and given to the offense at the spot of the fumble. Moreover http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-jim-mcmahon-jersey , all players should be coached to go get the ball after every incomplete pass that could potentially be overturned by replay review. But in the event that the ensuing scrum results in no clear evidence of a recovery, it should be the offense’s ball at the spot of the fumble. We all want to see Khalil Mack hit some dingers!" Latest NewsFrom The Desk Of...Imagining the Chicago Bears as a Baseball TeamNew,15commentsWe all want to see Khalil Mack hit some dingers!CDTHappy Crosstown Classic Weekend Pt. II, Bears fans! While it hasn’t necessarily been a season to remember for the Cubs or White Sox, one thing is for sure. The Bears have been out in full force in both the north and south side of the city, keeping the positive vibes going for what was a major step in the right direction last season. Khalil Mack and Anthony Miller have made stops at Wrigley Field while Mitch Trubisky, Cody Whitehair, Charles Leno Jr., James Daniels and most recently (to steal from a baseball term) skipper Matt Nagy took to the mound at Guaranteed Rate Field. The reigning NFL Coach of the Year proved just how incredible of an athlete he is, gunning a 98ish mile-per-hour fastball to home plate. Jon Durr-USA TODAY SportsWith so many members of the Monsters of the Midway hitting up the baseball diamond this summer (and more to presumably make way), it got me thinking. How would the Bears field up in America’s pastime? There aren’t any rules or qualifications for how these positions were determined, solely based upon my knowledge of the players themselves and where I think they would fit well. Let’s get to it. Full disclosure, I’m a diehard Cubs fan so we’re going to mold the Bears lineup as if they’re taking the field at Wrigley (as they did in the 1900s anyway) but add a DH because pitchers batting in the modern era makes no sense. Let’s meet your Chicago Bears starting nine!At second base and batting first Tarik Cohen Jersey , Tarik Cohen: If I had to clone Javier Baez into a football player it’s nobody else other than Cohen. His agility, swagger and open mindset would insert perfectly into the top of the order. Throw in his outrageous speed and charisma, Cohen would be a huge threat on the base paths as well. Projected Stat-line: .323 / 7 HRS / 74 RBI, 29 SB’s Commanding short stop and batting second, Kyle Fuller: If there is one trait that defines the great short stops in baseball’s illustrious history, it’s the ability to read and react to hits before they happen. Derek Jeter was one of the best to utilize this ability, and with Fuller needing to pick up on opposing quarterback progressions the left side of the field would play to his advantage. Placing him near the top of the order isn’t necessarily locked in for the 162 game season, given his sporadic stretches of play. Projected Stat-Line: .279 / 13 HRS / 66 RBIBatting Third, the First Baseman Kyle Long : Dependable, leadership, slugger. These are a few of the traits needed out of any star first baseman. At a staggering 6-foot-6, Long would be serviceable in the field as he really would have no excuse for any ball to sail over his head. The 316 pounds screams modern day slugger, simply a player that will either hit towering home runs over Sheffield and Waveland or strike out. Projected Stat-Line: .258 / 38 HRS / 94 RBIMatt Marton-USA TODAY SportsBatting Clean-Up Womens James Daniels Jersey , The Designated Hitter Khalil Mack: This one is an absolute no brainer. We all know that Mack is an outrageous athlete that if he really wanted to could probably play professionally in any sport. However, in our make-shift Bears’ baseball world, I want him to exclusively craft his game around hitting 80 home runs a year. There is nothing better than when a franchise player becomes synonymous for putting the fear of death into opposing pitchers, which Mack would do effortlessly. Projected Stat-Line: .275 / 41 HRS / 109 RBIIn the five-hole is catcher Mitchell Trubisky: I know, I know. Why not a pitcher? I’ll tell you why. Trubisky would be among the elite in the league at taking down opposing baserunners attempting to steal with his arm, and as a play caller in the NFL he has experience in making decisions on the fly that would help instruct pitchers to throw the right pitches. His 6-foot-3, 222 pound frame is the sole reason why I put him up in the middle of the order. Projected Stat-Line: .252 / 21 HRS / 77 RBIStanding in center field and batting sixth is Ha Ha Clinton-Dix: A major free agent name that is among the elite in making big time defensive plays and a freak athlete, Clinton-Dix is our Jason Heyward. He’s a Swiss-army knife type player with blistering speed to get great jumps on hard hit balls and can swing the bat when necessary. Hopefully he can make some good speeches in the locker room too.Projected Stat-Line : .261 / 19 HRS / 61 RBIMatt Marton-USA TODAY SportsAt lucky No. 7 is third baseman Eddie Jackson: The former Alabama defensive back made a variety of remarkable defensive plays last season, which would be required of him down in the “hot corner.” Like Fuller, the ability to react quickly and make decisions about where to go before the ball is even hit is in Jackson’s DNA. His production at the beginning of the bottom third of the order is of the upmost importance.Projected Stat-Line: .278 / 14 HRS / 55 RBIStarting in right field and swinging eighth is right fielder Allen Robinson II: A-Rob is the prodigal farm system talent that we all hope and expect to become a superstar. There have been flashes throughout his tenure but the consistency hasn’t been there yet. He’s too good to not be in the lineup everyday, and at the bottom of the order there is slightly more room to breathe. His 6-foot-3 frame and top-end speed would allow him to make incredible highlight-reel type plays out in right. Projected Stat-Line: .243 / 20 HRS / 83 RBIFinally, batting ninth is left fielder Anthony Miller: I’m a huge proponent of putting someone who can not only swing the bat well but be a threat on the bases too in the nine hole. Imagine Miller, a player that would certainly be built more for contact hitting than power http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-aaron-lynch-jersey , hitting a four-footer down the line and beating the catcher’s throw by more than a few seconds. Then he takes two jumps off the bag at first and is at second before the pitcher releases the ball. All of a sudden we’ve got a runner in scoring position, and threatening with Tarik Cohen at the plate. Miller’s top-end speed, like his other outfielders, would give him an opportunity to make great jumps on almost ball hit within the left field radius. Projected Stat-Line: .296 / 8 HRS / 74 RBI, 38 SB’sPitchers: Ace: Pat O’Donnell: The Bears’ punter has a true pitcher’s frame at 6-foot-4 and 217 pounds. He has little to no fear when multiple gargantuan human beings try to come and block or tackle him in the backfield, which leads me to believe he’d do just fine at headlining our pitching staff. Maybe he’d kick a few pitches, too. Closer: Chase Daniel: The last thing that you want out of a closer is inconsistency. It’s true-Daniel is by no means the flashy player that will draw major attention, and that’s OK. You know what your going to get out of the former Missouri Tiger (I’m a Mizzou alum, either he or Emanuel Hall was going to get in here) and that keeps the nerves low for not only fans but the team as well. By the way, two months till the season starts...
for what we have Denzel Perryman Jersey , where we have been, and what the future holds. Although the Chargers have lost their way a bit in recent years, the month of December still holds such incredible promise! This advent calendar is an attempt to hearken back to these days of December joy. Each day will bring a new advent from the Bolts’ history that makes it wonderful to be a Chargers fan.Dec. 25: Philip Rivers is DEFINITELY Heading to CantonIt’s easy to look at near every quarterback in the NFL and find a flaw. Some are inaccurate passers, some struggle under pressure and some just shouldn’t be out on the field due to age or their athletic traits. Still, when we hear the talks of Eli Manning, Matt Ryan, and Cam Newton, all seem to be considered among the best of the last near-decade and soon to be heading to Canton, Ohio. Here’s the kicker http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-craig-mager-jersey , once again Philip Rivers has been left out the conversation. Since being drafted out of North Carolina State with the fourth overall selection, Rivers has always carried a persona around him. When the Chargers initially selected Manning with the first overall pick, Rivers was seemed to be considered the second option. The real fact, however, is the 37-year-old quarterback has perhaps been the biggest blessing in disguise. Sure, while Manning took the New York Giants to a pair of Super Bowls against the New England Patriots, Rivers stats are bit more consistent. Compared to Manning’s 55,480 passing yards, 358 touchdowns and a completion rating of 60.3% Womens Uchenna Nwosu Jersey , Rivers has gone for 54,480 passing yards, 373 touchdowns, and completion rating of 64.6%. The biggest plus of all, Rivers is armed and ready to continue to add to his stellar resume while Manning is about to head out the door. Compared to some of the other high profile quarterbacks of the last 15 seasons, Rivers has the same completion rating and more touchdowns than Pittsburgh Steelers’ Ben Roethlisberger, who was drafted just seven picks after the Alabama native. Drafted just one year later, Rivers also has more passing yards and touchdowns than Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers. While there’s plenty of people out there, who will say “Aaron Rodgers sat for three seasons Russell Okung Jersey ,” Rivers sat for two full years before finally getting the starting gig. While Tom Brady and Drew Brees are past the 400 touchdown club, Rivers could be joining that unit sometime next season. If so, Rivers would be just one of just six quarterbacks to meet that mark. Who are they you might ask? Good question. What do Dan Marino, Brett Farve, Peyton Manning, Brady, and Brees have in common? All either current and future Hall of Fame players. Rivers should easily be in that conversation if he passes the 400 mark. It shouldn’t be up for debate. If the likes of Big Ben and Eli are considered locks due to their Super Bowl appearances, the NFL is looking at the team rather than the player. Rivers has been the golden boy of the Chargers organization since 2004 thanks to his loyalty and commitment to bringing the franchise a Lombardi Trophy. Even when the team moved to Los Angeles, Rivers elected to stay with the team and make the 120-mile drive daily so his family wouldn’t have to up-haul their entire life. It’s like that old holiday song Chargers fans sing every year. Cmon http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-kyle-emanuel-jersey , you know the words! (To the tune of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer)”You Big Ben and Peyton and Tommy and Eli, Russell, and A-Rod and Flacco and Matty IceBut do you recall, the most undervalued quarterback of all?Philip the Redneck Rivers joined the league in 2004And if you watched his game film, all he ever does is score (both on and off the field!)All of the NFL voters, seem to overlook his name. All because that LA Cowboy has played in several playoff gamesThen in 2018, Rivers came to say...HEY YALL! We’re the gosh darn Chargers, and as you can see, I’m trying to win the MVP!Now the Chargers are heading to the playoffs; Rivers has been one of the best in the game.Philip the Redneck Rivers Womens Forrest Lamp Jersey , He’ll be headed to the Hall of Fame. Headed to the Hall of Fame!”Merry Christmas Chargers fans and a happy playoff season! And that concludes our holiday season of remembrance! Thank you, everyone, for joining! The Chargers have made it clear that they intend to sign quarterback Philip Rivers to a contract extension as his current deal is up after the end of the 2019 season, but the matter of when such a deal will be done remains up in the air. That may not be changing anytime soon. Chargers General Manager Tom Telesco appeared on NFL Network Tuesday and gave an update on where things stand. The upshot of that update was that there’s no date in mind to get a deal done.“I don’t really have a timetable on it,” Telesco said. “We wanted to get through free agency, get through the draft, see where we are right now and we’ll look at it from here and through the draft. But I really don’t have any firm timetable on it. I’m very comfortable where we are right now. We’ll talk with everybody and see where we are.”The Chargers were considered possible suitors for Josh Rosen, but didn’t make a deal for the former Cardinals first-round pick and drafted Easton Stick in the fifth round. He’ll learn the ropes behind Rivers and Tyrod Taylor and the length of Rivers’ next deal will determine when the Chargers might be back in the market for a young quarterback.
when it comes to finding a replacement for departed Vice President of Player Personnel Joe Douglas.According to Reuben Frank of NBC Sports Philadelphia Wendell Smallwood Jersey , Eagles G.M. Howie Roseman gave indications that Douglas’ replacement could come from within the team’s front office. We’re very fortunate we have a lot of talented people in this building and we prepared for the day we were going to lose someone,” Roseman said Monday. “We certainly did not want to lose Joe. Joe’s just been a great asset to us and a great resource http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-chris-maragos-jersey , but we are deep. We are deep in the front office.”Douglas spent the last four-plus years serving as Philadelphia’s Vice President of Player Personnel before being hired by the New York Jets to serve as they next General Manager last week. Douglas could certainly look to build his new staff in New York by poaching some of his former colleagues with the Eagles as well.Andy Weidl has been the Eagles’ Director of Player Personnel the last three seasons and may be the most obvious candidate to assume Douglas’ duties moving forward. After Joe Douglas left the Eagles to become the Jets’ General Manager, Eagles executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman said that Douglas was recruiting others from the team to join him with his new team.Andy Weidl was one person Douglas might have targeted Womens Darren Sproles Jersey , but he’ll be staying put with a new title. Weidl has been promoted from director of player personnel to vice president of player personnel, which was Douglas’ title in Philly.“Andy was raised in a great scouting community with the Steelers Jay Ajayi Jersey , Saints, and Ravens and then came to Philadelphia at the same time that we hired Joe http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-jason-kelce-jersey ,” Roseman said in a statement. “He’s grown from assistant director of player personnel to director of player personnel and really deserves an opportunity to run the scouting department on a day-to-day basis as the vice president of player personnel. We’re excited about Andy.”The Eagles also announced that Roseman has added the General Manager title to the executive vice president one. Brandon Brown is moving from assistant director of pro scouting to director of pro scouting and Ian Cunningham has been promoted from director of college scouting to assistant director of player personnel in other front office moves.
JACKSONVILLE Womens Yannick Ngakoue Jersey , Fla. (AP) — The thought of Jacksonville parting ways with running back Leonard Fournette would have been unimaginable a few months ago. It’s much more plausible now.The Jaguars have notified Fournette that his suspension late last month voided the remaining guarantees in his four-year rookie contract, according to a person familiar with the situation. The person spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity Sunday night. The person said the Jaguars notified Fournette of the action weeks ago. Fournette could challenge the decision.Regardless, Fournette’s standing with the team reached a new level of unrest Sunday and raised speculation about his future with the franchise.Fournette and fellow running back T.J. Yeldon spent most of a 20-3 loss at Houston in the season finale on the bench, disengaged from teammates.Top executive Tom Coughlin ripped both players for being “disrespectful” and “selfish.”“Their behavior was unbecoming of a professional football player,” Coughlin said in a statement.Fournette has proven to be far from an ideal pro in Jacksonville, and it’s clear the team is growing tired of his unchanging ways.A team captain and the centerpiece of the team’s offense, Fournette is due to make $7.1 million in the final two years of what had been a fully guaranteed, four-year rookie deal worth $27.15 million. If Fournette fails to successfully appeal the void, the Jaguars could cut him without incurring any future financial obligations. It also might make trading for him more attractive to other teams considering the reduced financial risk. The fourth overall pick in the 2017 draft has missed 11 games in two seasons because of injuries and suspensions. Fournette ran for 439 yards and five touchdowns in eight games this season. He ran for 1,040 yards and nine touchdowns as a rookie. But he also was suspended one game in 2017 for leaving early during the bye week and suspended a week without pay for leaving the bench, running across the field and instigating a fight with Buffalo defensive end Shaq Lawson on Nov. 25. Fournette lost nearly $100,000 in salary during the weeklong suspension. It could cost him considerably more if the Jaguars decided to cut him with no guaranteed money remaining.Jacksonville also could give him a chance to change his ways. He’s due to make $2.9 million in 2019.Coughlin, coach Doug Marrone and general manager Dave Caldwell all will return next season DJ Chark Jersey , and Marrone said fixing the team’s culture will be a priority.“We have a ways to go, and that starts with me,” Marrone said. “When you sit here and ask about the culture and what it may be, maybe it’s not, that falls on me. I did not do a good job there, period. That’s one of the things I’m hard on myself, but I’m also honest with myself.“At the end of the day, we can talk about this player or that player and the locker room and all of that. That’s all on me. That’s all on me.” While Chris Conley has high expectations for himself, winning is all that matters for the fifth-year veteran. Statistically, Conley has had his best season as far as yardage with 737 yards, and has tied his career high for receptions and touchdowns with 44 and five, respectively. His 16.8 yards-per-reception ranks sixth in the NFL. Conley has also accumulated 812 snaps on offense this season — the most out of any wide receiver, and the sixth-most offensive snaps on the team. Last week http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-a.-j.-cann-jersey , offensive coordinator John DeFilippo said it’s a credit to his work on the field. “One of a number of guys who’s bought in this year and given it everything they have,” DeFilippo said. While numbers are great to garner a new contract or provide longevity in the NFL, Conley does not view this season as his most successful. Winning is all that matters for the fifth-year veteran, and that’s how he judges success at the end of the day. “Everybody says ‘its easy to say that, you want to take the moral high ground’ and all that, but really at the core of it, I play this game to win. And to find success in that,” Conley told Big Cat Country shortly after practice last week when asked if this was his most successful season. The Jaguars have not had much success on the field at 5-10, and have also undergone a slew of distractions off the field from cornerback Jalen Ramsey demanding a trade to the team’s EVP of Football Operations Tom Coughlin being relived of his duties. The success a team has impacts how a player may view a season. “It’s been a rough year for us all. I’m hoping we can approve on it as a team because then I’ll feel better about success if we all have success.”One reason for optimism this season has been within the growth of the receiver group. Although Conley has only been here for a season, he’s seen the rise of players such as DJ Chark Jr. who have begun to figure out just how to be a pro. “Moving to a point of taking ownership in everything that you do,” Conley said about the team’s young receiver group. “The good and the bad, being able to sit there and listen when someone tells you something’s wrong and not just belligerently get up and walk out — there’s still moments of that, but definitely progressing and moving forward. And guys beginning to act and approach the game as pros.” Chark Jr. feels Conley has helped the receiver group ‘a lot’ Womens Marqise Lee Jersey , having different styles of receivers has allowed everyone to have success in various ways. “I don’t think he gets enough credit,” Chark Jr. told Big Cat Country last week. “He makes a lot of tough catches. On those third downs, going between two guys. Catching tough slants, things like that. He does that pretty much every game. I think it’s big having him out there.”The second-year player feels this receiving corp has improved greatly from last year to this year, holding each other at higher standards, never completely reaching their standards, but surpassing others. While Conley has taught the receivers a lot this season, Chark Jr. doesn’t want to necessarily play his game of breaking tackles and running defenders over. “Hell nah,” Chark Jr. said when asked if the receivers ever get inspired to play as big as Conley. “[expletive] Chris [is] big so if he do get tackled by the first guy something wrong.”Considering himself as more of an elusive threat after the catch, the former LSU product thinks it depends on the situation if he can break a tackle or run someone over. “I don’t know if that’s me. And Dede [Westbrook] for sure not doing that,” Chark Jr. joked. “You know he (Westbrook) [is] tough but [he’s] not catching the ball, running over people. So we let Chris handle that.”Conley doesn’t consider himself an ‘in your face’ kind of guy in the receiver room. Although he has a lot he can teach the young group, he would never force it Telvin Smith Jersey , “only as much as they let me”, Conley says. Playing with receivers such as Jeremy Maclin, Jason Avant, and Sammy Watkins, Conley could have a lot to share. “But once I feel like a relationship has grown to a point where someone trusts me and they’ll listen to what I have to say, I’ll share what I’ve learned.”Conley has learned how to be a pro and how to approach the game with the correct fashion over the years. “So whenever I get an opportunity and it presents itself correctly, then I’ll share with them the wisdom that I have, but other than that you kinda got to just live life.”
game since October 14 http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-jim-mcmahon-jersey , 2018, but the 33-year old signed with the Seattle Seahawks late last night. I’m not sure what he has left, but the time away could have done his body well and for a few game playoff stretch he could be just what the Seahawks need to help them in a wide open NFC. First up however, a showdown with the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football with the NFC West title on the line. 2) But over in the AFC, it looks like the Baltimore Ravens are the team to beat after they picked up their eleventh straight win on Sunday with a 31-15 beat-down of the Cleveland Browns. I didn’t realize that 2019 is the first time they’ve ever had home field clinched through out the playoffs. In their two Super Bowl titles they started their run on wildcard weekend. The luxury of earning the bye allows then to rest several starters. 3) It’s ridiculous how New Orleans Saints wide out Micheal Thomas can get so open all the damn time when everyone knows the ball is going his way. He’s the most complete receiver in the game today.4) New York Jets head coach Adam Gase has an eye for talent. If you don’t get the joke, you can Google it. 5) Chandler Jones is up to 19 sacks for the Arizona Cardinals this season and is at 96 for his eight year career. And I know this pisses off 99% of all Chicago Bears’ fans. 6) The Tennessee Titans control their chance at the 6th seed against the Houston Texans on Sunday, and with Houston locked into the playoffs as the AFC South Champs (albeit their seed is up for grabs) I could see Tennessee having the motivation to win on the road. 7) Kirk Cousins went full Kirk Cousins on Monday Night Football, but it was Green Bay running back Aaron Jones that dominated the night with 154 yards on the ground and 2 TDs for the Packers offense, and outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith’s 3.5 sacks that did it for their defense. 8) New York Giants rookie quarterback Daniel Jones went off in his return to the lineup with 352 yards passing, five touchdowns and no interceptions in their 41-35 overtime victory at Washington. 9) This postseason nugget from the NFL is crazy to me.I wonder which 4 teams are going to the playoffs in 2020 after missing it this year?10) Most disappointing season ever.Cold Takes: A Look At Chicago’s 2018 Season So Far We’ve all seen the “Hot Takes” from the first quarter’s games all over the net. In this series, I’m letting some time pass, and after reviewing the game tape a couple of times, I’m going to share some “Cold Takes.” about the first 4 games the Bears have played, plus a few thoughts about the NFC North & NFL at large. These are just a series of my thoughts and observations, presented in no particular order.First Quarter League MVP: Khalil Mack. Period. BOOM!Kyle Fuller, man you GOTTA catch that ball. I’m still smarting from that one. Jon Gruden is still an idiot.I may have been wrong about John DeFilippo being the next Minnesota head coach. He may end up as the head coach of the Green Bay Packers at the end of this year.I’m considering making “not talking about Mitchell Trubisky” in my Cold Takes series “a thing” because he’s 90 percent of the conversation on every other feature. Thoughts on that?Time for a cold takes “Where Are They Now” moment. You ready? OK, 2017 Chicago Bears Wide Receivers, listed in order of attempts... where are they now?Bears #1 WR Kendall Wright: Currently out of football Just signed with Arizona Monday after being out of football in 2018.Bears #2 WR Josh Bellamy (doesn’t that just send a shiver down your spine, and not in a good way): now the Bears #4/5 WR.Bears #3 WR Dontrelle Inman: Currently out of football.Bears #4 WR (before Chicago released him) Deonte Thompson: #4 WR & kick returner for Dallas.Bears #5 WR Markus Wheaton: Currently out of footballBears #6 WR Tre McBride: Currently out of footballBears #7 WR Tanner Gentry: Currently on Bears practice squadYes, that list is really, really ugly.Ryan Pace is no longer ranked Dead Last for GM’s. I guess fielding a team without Kendall Wright, Dontrelle Inman, Deonte Thompson & Markus Wheaton as the heart of your WR corps will do that. Oh, yeah, and acquiring Khalil Mack. There’s that too. Khalil Mack is a bear. Keep saying it, over and over, it will keep you warm at night. We’ve had some really crappy kickers since Robbie “left” but... man... Mason Crosby? Whoa Tarik Cohen Jersey , that’s a whole new level of sucking. That’s taking “bad day” to new hights. Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of fellas.Aaron Rodgers can still put on his “God Mode” ring and take over a game, but honestly, most of the time when he’s not in “God Mode” he’s playing like crap. Rodgers was horrible for most of the Lions game.Jon Gruden is still an idiot. Oh, have I mentioned this before? Sorry, not sorry. The Chicago Bears are my favorite NFL team. The Packers are my fourth favorite NFL team. The Lions are my third favorite. The other 29 teams are tied for my second favorite. Starting to look at Miami, and seeing a really strange team. Adam Gase, an offensive guru, is their head coach, so they should have a great offense and an “iffy” defense, right? Nope. They are TERRIBLE on offense, while their D is quite solid. I don’t think they score much on us, the question will be if we can put up points on them. Winning the turnover battle will be key.I like Deshaun Watson, I really do... but that young man is going to have a very, very short career in the NFL if he doesn’t learn how to protect himself when taking some of those hits he’s being pummeled by. The Seahawks, who we beat, nearly beat the Rams Any given Sunday.Cleveland’s defense is top 5. Seriously. I don’t care what the stats say. The Vikings and Eagles are both weird teams this year, neither one of which (talent wise) should be 2 win teams after 5 weeks. But... they are...I watched the Charger’s “home” game against San Francisco, where the tiny little 30,000 seat stadium was a sea of red as it was filled with Niners fans. The NFL should step in and move that team back to San Diego, else some other town that will actually support them like Oklahoma City, Portland, Salt Lake, etc. Call it a “move Mulligan” or something. The Rams are doing fine in LA. One team there is more than enough.Look for Jordan Howard to have a breakout game against Miami. The Bears are 3-0 since I bought my wife her new Chicago Bears ball cap & zip-up jacket. You are welcome.Jon Gruden is my All-Time Favorite Raider.I asked my fellow WCG contributors if they had a first-quarter Cold Take they want to share, and here are their answers:Andrew Link: Neither side of the ball has reached their potential. The offensive side of the ball is well-documented. As the season progresses, we should continue to see growth from Trubisky and the offense as a whole. The key for this offense is going to be keeping everyone involved and playing off of the individual match-ups that each game provides. On defense however, you still have Khalil Mack and Roquan Smith rounding into shape, and learning a new scheme. As the symbiotic relationship between the pass rush and secondary grows Womens James Daniels Jersey , we will likely see more chances being taken, for better or worse. Either way, this team is still mostly potential, but that potential can grow into something great...on both sides of the ball. Sam Householder: There are still going to be lumps the rest of the season. One 6-TD game doesn’t mean that the Trubisky has figured it all out. He still needs to learn to better anticipate pressure and diagnose coverages better, especially against most exotic defenses than what the Bucs showed. The team might lose some games that we don’t expect them to, but that’s all right: This season was never meant to be all or nothing when it came to the playoffs. That said, they are ahead of where we thought they would be so come later in the season as everything gels, we could be playing with house money.Lester Wiltfong, Jr.: Jordan Howard is going to be fine. His numbers are down partly because of the game-plans, but also partly because of the game-flow. Matt Nagy is still trying to find a comfort level with his play calling and how to best utilize all the talent -- and there is a lot of talent -- on his offense.Aaron Leming: The Bears are the best team in the NFC North. Will it end up like that in Week 17? I’m not sure but I truly believe they are the most complete team through 5 weeks. They have the best defense & to this point it hasn’t been that close & if they have a middle of the road offense, they aren’t going to lose many games. The Bears season will be defined within their division & I think the final 5 games within the North will surprise a lot of people. Josh Sunderbruch: The secondary is deeper than we think. The injuries the secondary took had some people scared, but there is decent depth on this roster. The special teams players can step up, for example, when the Bears need then to.ErikC. Duerrwaechter: There’s plenty to be optimistic about with this team. The Bears’ defense has already ascended to the top of the league as one of the most dominant units in 2018. Khalil Mack is a real contender for the league’s MVP award. With that said, there’s contributions being made from each level; from the D-Line to the secondary. Meanwhile, the offense is still coming together. And that was to be expected, with an entirely new offense being installed with plenty of new faces. Trubisky has improved slowly through the first 4 weeks. He needs to continue improving, if this Bears team is to compete for the long-term. And where I’d like to see Jordan Howard get more involved with the run game, the blocking up front hasn’t been great. That might change with James Daniels potentially taking over at LG. Once every component on offense gets rolling, it’s going to be a formidable unit to play against. Robert Zeglinski: Trey Burton is the best and most valuable skill position player (non-quarterback) the Bears possess. That’s better than each of Jordan Howard, Tarik Cohen, Allen Robinson, the whole lot. He’s the Earth of the Bears’ “Earth, Wind, & Fire” at tight end. Seeing how he versatile he is in lining up all over the field and excelling as a fullback, split-out receiver, and even in-line tight end makes me appreciate Chicago’s offensive Swiss Army Knife more. He’s a talented worker bee up to any task asked of him. Burton’s numbers through a month as a receiver (11 receptions http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-aaron-lynch-jersey , 176 yards, two touchdowns) aren’t impressive at a glance. I think that’s more of a product of Burton and the Bears offense getting into sync, since the entire passing offense didn’t break through until Week 4. Seeing how Burton’s produced that yardage from everywhere and how often he’s come through for Trubisky in small sample sizes, makes me think we’re heading for a major, consistent breakthrough for the tight end in the last 12 games of the 2018 season. Burton will in all likelihood never be a Pro Bowl tight end because he’s not that good, and there are so many capable weapons on this Bears offense that can take away from his production and eye-popping numbers. But that doesn’t mean he can’t settle in firmly to the tier of very good just below it, or that his value is in any way diminished. Jacob Infante: The Bears are not an elite team, and a deep playoff run is incredibly unlikely. However, this very well could be a team that is still atop of NFC North for quite some time. Given Detroit’s hot-and-cold style of play, Minnesota’s general disarray and Green Bay’s relying on an injured Aaron Rodgers, things are lining up for Chicago to take control of the division. Granted, some of their rivals’ issues could be fixed later in the year, but the Bears have the pure talent on both sides of the ball to at least stay competitive with most teams in the league. Khalil Mack has played a huge role in revamping their defense, while Mitchell Trubisky has displayed in flashes what their offense can eventually develop into. 2018 might not be the year that they become true Super Bowl contenders, but the Bears are more than just a flash in the pan.Whiskey Ranger: Trubisky is still far from a finished product. He looked great against the Bucs, and did a lot of the things you want him to do vs a poor secondary. At the same time, he did miss on some easy throws, and missed a couple of reads. Nothing glaring, but still mistakes that a better D would have capitalized on. That should get better with time. He’s going to have some rough games again this season, so don’t get too down when he does, but he showed us what he’s capable of when he puts it all together. And boy, was it a sight to behold!Kev H: If the Bears had Wade Phillips instead of Vic Fangio I don’t think other teams would even score points. So what do you think, Chicago Bears fans... let’s hear it, spill the beans!
Casey Hayward Jersey , he was praising new coach Vic Fangio as a leader. Now, Wolfe is praising Fangio’s defensive scheme.“Falling in love with the defense actually,” Wolfe told reporters on Thursday. “Last time I felt this was when I was first introduced to Wade [Phillips’] defense. I almost feel like I was born to play this defense. I was telling my wife that last night. She was like, ‘You know, it’s your contract year, where are we going to be?’ This and that. I feel like I was born for this defense, so I don’t think we have anything to worry about.”So what does he like about the Fangio defense?“It’s just, alignment-wise http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-melvin-ingram-jersey , it’s like it’s old-school defense where you line up and you beat the guy in front of you,” Wolfe said. “We’re going to be moving. You beat him, beat him, beat him, and then next thing you know we’re slanting somewhere and moving around and misdirecting. As far as the pass-rush game goes, we have some really fun pass-rush games that are just different. Things that aren’t just me setting things up for everybody else. It’s actually a little bit of the opposite. I can actually get to get back there and make some plays and vice-versa. Taking guys like me and Von [Miller]. How many guys in the league have been working for eight years, working right beside each other for eight years? The kind of chemistry that him and I have, they could just mix and match so many different things because a lot of the times we just use hand signals and just looks. He looks at me a certain way and I know he’s like Womens Junior Seau Jersey , ‘Hey, go.’ I’m like, ‘All right, I’m going to hit this B-gap.’ There’s no way for an offensive lineman to be preparing for that. Then when we have all this other extra stuff that we have its going to really switch things up.”Wolfe explained that the secondary will have to play less man coverage, reducing the pressure they’ll face.“Now linebackers are in coverage,” Wolfe said. “Outside linebackers are in coverage. Some of the things are like the D-line has to get there this time. It’s on you guys. The responsibility is spread around. It’s not just being put on one person or one guy or on group on the defense. It’s very team-oriented defense.”It’s invigorating to just read about it. It’s hard not to look forward to watching it. Unless you play offense for the Raiders, Chargers, or Chiefs. As a result, the 28-year-old linebacker is potentially facing up to 25 years in prison. It’s been quite the year for Kendricks. Let’s recap. In February, he won the Super Bowl with the Eagles. Philadelphia then released him on the first day of OTA practices in May. Kendricks ended up signing with the Browns after being cut by Philly. Then Cleveland released him when the news of his crime broke. Kendricks didn’t spend too long as a free agent before being picked up by the Seahawks Womens Nate Gerry Jersey , who were clearly desperate for linebacker help. Kendricks was allowed to play for Seattle while his appeal was being processed. All of that brings us to Kendricks’ current situation, where he is now banned from the league for an indeterminable amount of time. In addition to being suspended by the NFL, Kendricks is obviously still subject to legal punishment. His sentencing for insider trading is set to take place at the end of this year.

On Sunday, the Texans returned the favor a year later, as they mercifully ended Jacksonville’s miserable season winning 20-3 and in turn claimed the AFC South division title after finishing last in the South a year prior. The return of previously benched quarterback Blake Bortles did nothing to spark an anemic Jaguars offense, that has shown as much signs of life in the last half of the season as a mouse stuck in a wire trap. The Jaguars managed only two first downs in the first three quarters of play, that isn’t a typo. For as much as the offensive line was hyped as being ill-prepared to handle the Texans defense featuring JJ Watt and Jadaveon Clowney Womens Yannick Ngakoue Jersey , the line mostly held up well in pass protection. Bortles, as has been the case all too many times in the last five years, was simply unable to make the throws needed to be productive enough to make a competitive game of it. For their part, Jacksonville’s defense played a respectable game for having nothing to play for. The team pressured Houston quarterback Deshaun Watson early and often, with Calais Campbell, Yannick Ngakoue, Malik Jackson, and Taven Bryan each registering sacks in the game. Campbell’s contributions pushed him to 10.5 sacks to finish the season DJ Chark Jersey , making him the first Jaguars player in franchise history to register back to back double-digit sack seasons. Ngakoue would finish with 9.5, falling a half sack short of accomplishing the same.As has been the case for seemingly most of the season, however, the complete ineptitude of the offense was too much for the defensive side to carry on their own. The game marks the almost certain end of the Jaguars careers for Bortles, Malik Jackson, T.J. Yeldon, Carlos Hyde, AJ Cann http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-a.-j.-cann-jersey , Tashaun Gipson, and potentially several others, as the franchise will be making a multitude of personnel changes coming before the start of the league year in March.Perhaps the biggest changes to be made will come much sooner, as we await the fates of General Manager Dave Caldwell, Head Coach Doug Marrone, and Defensive Coordinator Todd Wash. Though things are fluid and can change quickly, it is expected that Marrone and Wash will be retained, while Caldwell’s future is very much in doubt. The Jaguars finish 2018 with a 5-11 record Womens Marqise Lee Jersey , and now likely to be picking between 5th and 7th overall in the 2019 NFL Draft.Stay tuned in to Big Cat Country throughout the week, as we will be breaking news as it occurs. With the Le'Veon Bell question finally answered, everyone now knows that the running back in Pittsburgh will be led by James Conner for the balance of the year. And his first game post-Le’Veon (assuming Conner exits the concussion protocol) could be the biggest on-field challenge Conner has ever faced. With cornerbacks Jalen Ramsey and, if healthy, A.J. Bouye, the Jaguars will be able to park a safety in the box, forcing Conner to navigate an eight-man front. He may be able to do it. So far, Conner has exceeded all expectations. But the challenge could be more significant Telvin Smith Jersey , especially if the Jaguars’ defense generally can perform against Pittsburgh the way it did throughout most of 2017.Conner is one of the names who made it to this week’s “Show Me Something” draft on . as a receiver much before trading him to the Eagles this offseason Dan Hampton Jersey , but it appears they have plans on using the back they drafted a short time later in that role.David Montgomery caught 22 passes during his final season at Iowa State, which didn’t stop the Bears from picking him in the third round to complement Tarik Cohen and Mike Davis in the backfield. Since Montgomery’s arrived in Chicago, he’s shown head coach Matt Nagy that he offers more to the passing game than some might have expected.“We always knew he had great hands http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-brian-urlacher-jersey ,” Nagy said, via the . “You don’t know how great of a route runner a college back is, but he’s a really good route runner. . . . This kid can’t wait. [Neither can] Mike Davis and these other backs. They want to put the pads on.”Offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich said he’s heard Montgomery get compared to Matt Forte since being drafted. Expecting that kind of production might be a reach given the other backs on hand Womens Leonard Floyd Jersey , but showing a wide range of skills should assure the rookie a role in Nagy’s offense. Bears running back Tarik Cohen revealed a bit more than he intended when he took a video from the team’s locker room after Monday night’s win over Washington.Cohen’s video featured guard Kyle Long in the background without any clothes on, which made for a pretty serious faux pas even if the video itself didn’t violate league rules about posting to social media before the postgame interview period has come to an end.Bears head coach Matt Nagy addressed the incident on Wednesday.“I think it’s unfortunate that that happened,” Matt Nagy said Eric Kush Jersey , via the . “Tarik feels bad and is apologetic and embarrassed that it happened. I think it’s something that you need to do is you learn from it. It was a mistake and nothing that is malicious at all. But it was a mistake so let’s make sure that that mistake doesn’t happen again to all of our players.”There’s no word on any punishment that Cohen might face for posting the video and one imagines the Bears will be a good deal more vigilant about making sure no one makes the same mistake in the future.

Kelly-USA TODAY SportsThe interior of The Chargers defensive line could look very different when the 2019 season begins. As of now, the bolts are slated to have four defensive linemen that will hit the free agent market when the new league year commences on March 13th. Brandon Mebane http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-kyle-emanuel-jersey , Corey Liuget, Darius Philon and Damion Square have expiring contracts and all could be in could be in new uniforms next season. The Chargers should make the decision to bring back Square and/or Philon, as both have proved to be key rotational pieces to the defensive front. Even if that plan succeeds, the line will still need to be reinforced. That help could come in the form of Clemson defensive tackle, Dexter Lawrence. Lawrence was one of the top high school recruits in the county and quickly became a force on Clemson’s defense. Over the next three seasons he would be named the 2016 ACC defensive rookie of the year and earned first-team All-ACC following his sophomore and junior seasons. However, Lawrence’s college career ended on a low note when he was suspended for a positive banned substance that kept him from participating in the national championship game in January. At 6-foot-4, 343 pounds, Lawrence’s best traits are shown as a primary run defender. He is an anchor capable of occupying space Womens Forrest Lamp Jersey , taking on double teams and closing lanes for opposing running backs. Lawrence possesses short area athleticism and is deceptively agile for player of his size. He also displays good hand technique when shedding tackles and uses his power to his advantage to get into the backfield. He doesn’t have the explosiveness to be a consistent interior pass rusher, but still shows decent quickness off the snap. He shows limited lateral movement and average pass rushing skills which will could limit his draft value. Lawrence managed only 3.5 sacks over the last two years, but he still recorded 43 QB pressures, 131 tackles (18 for loss) and 10 total sacks during his college career. After leading all defensive lineman at the combine with 36 reps on the bench press and turning in an impressive 40 time of 5.05, Lawrence was off to a great start at the combine. However it would be short lived as Lawrence suffered a minor quad injury that forced him out of the rest of the drills in Indianapolis.Luckily, the injury is not expected to keep the former tiger from performing at Clemson’s pro-day on March 14th. Lawrence has earned his reputation as an exceptional two down run defender. But teams that value interior pass rush may not see that from him at the next level. Still, his college production still has draft analysis looking at Lawrence as a potential first round pick. Daniel Jeremiah currently ranks the former tiger at No. 31 on his big board and ESPN’s Todd McShay recently mocked Lawrence to The Chargers with the 28th overall selection. Since Tom Telesco became general manager of The Chargers, the team has not spent higher than a 3rd round pick on a defensive tackle. BFTB’s own Louis Gorlini makes a strong argument as to why The Chargers have historically undervalued the defensive tackle spot and why fans should not expect the team to spend a first round pick on the position. Los Angeles could look to free agency to add another veteran to their defensive front. Additionally Mike Williams Jersey , The NFL draft is extremely deep at the the defensive line position, which could afford The Chargers the opportunity to focus their efforts on other areas of need in the higher rounds. With the free agency looming and the possibility of the line lacking serious depth, there is definitely an argument to be made as to why Lawrence would make sense for The Chargers to select him at 28. Could this finally be the year that Telesco puts a high investment on the interior of the defensive line? Only time will tell.

He was active for all 16 regular-season games each of the past three seasons.Last season, Shatley started a career-high seven games, taking over at center after starter Brandon Linder injured his knee. The Jaguars have nine offensive linemen on their roster, including four Week One starters from last season in left tackle Cam Robinson, left guard Andrew Norwell http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-a.-j.-cann-jersey , Linder and right guard A.J. NEW YORK (AP) — The NFL has fined Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman $26,739 for an unnecessary roughness penalty in New England’s win over Buffalo on Monday night.Edelman was called for an illegal block after a fair catch signal, but before the ball was touched on a Bills punt in the third quarter.Giants safety Sean Chandler was fined $20,054 for unnecessary roughness for a horse-collar tackle in the fourth quarter of their 20-13 loss to Washington on Sunday.Raiders linebacker Kyle Wilber also was fined $20,054 for unnecessary roughness for a horse-collar tackle in the fourth quarter of their 42-28 loss to Indianapolis on Sunday. Also fined:—Vikings wide receiver Laquon Treadwell, $13 Womens Marqise Lee Jersey ,369 for unsportsmanlike conduct.—Ravens defensive lineman Brandon Williams, $10,026 for unnecessary roughness.—Eagles linebacker D.J. around in a hurry Sunday. He hooked up with open receivers http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-roquan-smith-jersey , watched the running game establish itself and enjoyed seeing Oakland transform itself from a struggling offense to the kind coach Jon Gruden envisioned.Carr led the Raiders to touchdowns on three of their first four drives, and safety Eric Harris returned a late interception 30 yards for a touchdown to secure a 31-24 victory at Indianapolis."We finished our drives, we converted on third downs, we were efficient running the football. Everyone did their job," Carr said. "When everyone does their job we can score points."The Raiders (2-2) entered Sunday desperately hoping to change course. They had produced just two scoring drives in their previous 18 possessions, and lost two straight by 18 or more points. With a trip to London looming, a bye week and two more road games on the schedule before returning home, Oakland knew what it needed to do.Carr delivered on a day he was 21 of 31 with 189 yards and two TDs.He threw an 18-yard TD pass to Foster Moreau on the game's opening drive. On the Raiders' next offensive play, receiver Trevor Davis scooted around the left side and sprinted 60 yards for a touchdown to make it 14-0 less than seven minutes into the game. After the Colts (2-2) converted a botched handoff into a 5-yard touchdown pass Womens Eddie Goldman Jersey , Carr went back to work and connected with Tyrell Williams on a 19-yard TD pass for a 21-7 lead. But what coach Jon Gruden liked most was Oakland's second-half start — a 16-play drive that consumed 9:12 and ended with a short field goal to give the Raiders a 24-10 lead."It was as good a drive as I've been a part of to start the second half," Gruden said. "I'm as proud of this win as any I've had before."The defense made sure it held up as the Raiders won their first game in Indy since 2001.Indy (2-2), meanwhile, looked lethargic with starting receivers T.Y. Hilton and Devin Funchess out with injuries. The Colts gained 346 yards, more than half in the fourth quarter when they were scrambling to get back in the game. And the inability to sustain drives took a toll on Indy's defense."We couldn't have gotten off to a worse start than we did today," Colts coach Frank Reich said. "We were three-and-out and they were scoring touchdowns."Still, the Colts had chances. Brissett's a 4-yard TD pass to Chester Rogers with 5:27 to go got the Colts within 24-17. Even after Harris' interception , Brissett again made it a one-score game with a 48-yard TD pass to Eric Ebron with 1:10 remaining.Brissett was 24 of 46 with 265 yards, three TDs and one interception."We had a lot of long drives Marcus Cooper Jersey , a lot of sustained drives," Carr said. "It happens when everyone is doing their assignment and on the same page."BURFICT EJECTEDRaiders linebacker Vontaze Burfict was ejected early in the second quarter after being called for unnecessary roughness on a helmet-to-helmet collision with tight end Jack Doyle. Even before referee Scott Novak announced to the crowd what a replay review determined, Burfict was jogging into the locker room. It's not the first time Burfict has run afoul of league rules. He had 11 fines and suspensions in seven seasons with Cincinnati before joining the Raiders.STAT SHEETRaiders: Harris' interception was the team's first this season. ... Williams has caught a touchdown pass in all four games. ... Josh Jacobs had 17 carries for 79 yards on a day the Raiders had 188 yards rushing. ... Oakland won its second road game since Gruden returned to the team last season.Colts: Indy rushed 23 times for 81 yards. ... Zach Pascal had four receptions for 72 yards. ... Adam Vinatieri made three extra points and a 26-yard field goal, but missed a 57-yard field goal attempt that slid wide left late in the first half of his 197th game with the Colts. ... Indy's seven-game home winning streak ended.INJURY REPORTRaiders: Gruden said guard Jordan Devey, who replaced Gabe Jackson in the starting lineup Sunday, will likely miss the rest of the season with a pectoral injury.Colts: Running back Marlon Mack did not return after hurting his ankle in the second half. The Colts also played without All-Pro linebacker Darius Leonard (concussion) and safety Malik Hooker (torn meniscus).UP NEXTRaiders: Khalil Mack plays his former team, the Raiders, as the star linebacker and the Bears play Oakland in London — a home game for the Raiders.Colts: visit Kansas City on Sunday night in a rematch of last year's playoff game. Fresh faces join teams all across the league, old stars return to strap the pads, and the whole country readies itself for another 5 months of controversy, craziness, and water-cooler chatter. But for all the buzz that Training Camp brings, it can become surprisingly hard to know what to care about — should you be worried about Trubisky’s pick in yesterday’s practice? Does Mathieu Betts’ latest sack make him a roster lock? Is it a problem that Nagy isn’t playing the starters in the preseason games? With questions like these bound to cloud the Bears’ offseason picture, I spend this episode laying out the 8 things I think are most important to follow during this year’s practices. Some are based on rookie development, others scheme-watching Womens Bryce Callahan Jersey , but all involve important pieces of information that we should be able to learn throughout camp. across the pond this week http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-craig-mager-jersey , and the charts are starting to notice! The LA Chargers began the season with a middling Power Ranking average of about 13.This represents a team that could be pretty good, but wasn’t good enough to make it to the playoffs. This year has been a different story. Without the kicking woes that plundered the Chargers’ record last season (the Sturgis saga hasn’t been a good one, but it hasn’t cost clear and definitive games like the Koo saga), fans and media around the league are starting to take the Bolts for real. Not only have they been stringing together wins Womens Uchenna Nwosu Jersey , but they’ve been looking quite good on the field as they dispatch their foes. One of the biggest themes from this power ranking roundup is that the world is quite aware that Joey Bosa is an incredible factor in the Chargers favor, and he hasn’t yet played a down. The world isn’t just beginning to believe in this team, they are already fearing the balanced onslaught that Bosa’s return will promise.ESPNLos Angeles RamsKansas City ChiefsNew England PatriotsNew Orleans SaintsLos Angeles Chargers6. (AP) — The Los Angeles Chargers didn’t have many glaring offseason needs but upgrading the linebacking unit was at the top of the list. They took a step toward doing that Wednesday as the NFL’s free agency period began, signing Thomas Davis to a two-year contact. The team also signed quarterback Tyrod Taylor and re-signed defensive tackle Brandon Mebane to two-year deals.Davis comes to the Chargers after spending his entire 14-year career with Carolina, where he was the Panthers‘ career leader in tackles (1 http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-kyle-emanuel-jersey ,077). He will enter the season second among active NFL players in tackles.Davis finished second last season with 79 tackles in 12 games. He missed the first four games while under suspension for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing supplements.Davis’ addition gives the Chargers experience and an effective run stopper. Denzel Perryman, Jatavis Brown and Kyzir White combined to start 25 games but ended up on injured reserve. Perryman, who led the team in tackles at the time of his injury, was the team’s most effective run stopper the first half of the season. He was due to become a free agent but re-signed with the team on March 9.The Chargers struggled to stop the run late last season. They contained Baltimore in the AFC wild-card round by going with eight defensive backs but allowed 155 yards in a loss to New England in the divisional round.Taylor gives the Chargers an experienced backup to Rivers Womens Forrest Lamp Jersey , who has started 208 consecutive games and is tied with Peyton Manning for the third-longest streak in NFL history by a QB.Taylor has started 46 games during his eight-year career with Baltimore, Buffalo and Cleveland. He started the first three games last season for the Browns before suffering a concussion and back injury against the New York Jets. Taylor was not able to regain his starting job after the emergence of Baker Mayfield. The signing reunites Taylor with Chargers coach Anthony Lynn, who was a Buffalo assistant for three seasons and the offensive coordinator in 2016. Los Angeles also still has Cardale Jones on the roster.Mebane, who will be going into his 13th NFL season and fourth with the Chargers Mike Williams Jersey , started 12 games last season and had 53 tackles, three tackles for loss and one sack. He missed four games to help care for his newborn daughter, who died at seven weeks due to a defective heart condition. His 57 tackles for loss are the highest among active nose tackles.

Parkey, who also hit five uprights Womens Nelson Agholor Jersey , routinely went to Soldier Field to do extra work in recent months but that wasn’t enough to help him on the biggest kick of the season. Get well soon, coach."Not even the head coach was spared from a 2018 Philadelphia Eagles season filled with injuries. NFL insider Ian Rapoport reports Doug Pederson recently underwent foot surgery: More context from Mike Garafolo:I’m sure Pederson will jokingly refer to this as a “lower body injury” when he meets with reporters at the NFL Coaches Breakfast on Tuesday morning. Based on Rapoport’s tweet Zach Ertz Jersey , Pederson should be recovered by the time the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship begins in mid-July. Then again, maybe there’s reason to worry if that’ll truly be the case!Pederson still has about two months before the Eagles begin their OTA practices in late May. We’ll see if he’s still limited in any capacity at that time but it sounds like he should be full go by the time training camp begins in late July. In addition to Pederson addressing reporters at the NFL owners meetings this week http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-fletcher-cox-jersey , it’s also expected we’ll hear from Eagles CEO and Chairman Jeffrey Lurie along with executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman. JACKSONVILLE Telvin Smith Jersey , Fla. (AP) —The Jacksonville Jaguars star cornerback and one of the NFL’s most outspoken personalities said Thursday he “definitely would” hit his grandmother if she lined up against him on the football field.“To respect the game, you have to play it fierce,” Ramsey said. “I don’t believe in having friends on the field. I mean, my brother, my dad, my mom, grandma was out there, like it’s on. After the game, we can be cool. It doesn’t matter. That’s how I feel http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-t.j.-yeldon-jersey , like, you’ve got to respect the game of football.“Football is not a game meant to be played being nice to each other and all that, like kumbaya. After the game’s over with, that’s cool.”Ramsey wouldn’t really hit his grandmother, would he?“No, I definitely would,” he said. “She knows that. My grandma knows that. I love you, but she knows that.”Ramsey added that granny “might not get up from one of my licks.”Ramsey is a renowned trash-talker and one of the most competitive guys on the team. The Jaguars (1-0) host the New England Patriots (1-0) on Sunday, a rematch of the AFC championship game Womens Ronnie Harrison Jersey , and surely will have a lot to say before, during and after the game.Ramsey made headlines last month when he said in a magazine article about Patriots star tight end Rob Gronkowski “I don’t think Gronk’s good” and added “I don’t think Gronk is as great as people think he is.”Gronkowski responded Wednesday , saying “if that’s how he feels, that’s how he feels.”Gronkowski caught only one pass in the title game before getting knocked out with a concussion. Asked Thursday about his comments, Ramsey said he “might be crazy.”“I don’t care,” Ramsey added. “He’s good. He’s good, now. We ain’t going to get it twisted. He’s good, but you saying this to me, is this supposed to bring fear to me or something? … I don’t fear no man Will Richardson Jersey , period. So he’s going to have to come out there and line up on me, or however it goes. He’s got to play us this year.”Jacksonville planned in the previous meeting to let Ramsey cover Gronk when the tight end lined up wide, outside the hash marks.Ramsey and defensive coordinator Todd Wash declined to provide details into what could be in store Sunday.“I’m not sure,” Ramsey said. “I’m going to go out there and do whatever the coach asks me to do, to be honest. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t. I’m very confident in all of my teammates on the defensive side of the ball. Whoever goes against him, I’m very confident they’ll hold it down and I’ll do my job and I’ll hold it down where I’m at.” The 2019 edition of NFL free agency officially begins for the Jacksonville Jaguars at 12pm EST today. This is our Super Bowl, folks. We’re going to try and gather every piece of news http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-logan-cooke-jersey , every rumor,..."WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections Jaguars Free Agency 2016Jaguars Film RoomNFL DraftJaguars Injury NewsLatest News2019 Jacksonville Jaguars free agency: Live blog for Day 1 of legal tampering New,185commentsEDTShareTweetShareShare2019 Jacksonville Jaguars free agency: Live blog for Day 1 of legal tampering Chuck Cook-USA TODAY SportsThe 2019 edition of NFL free agency officially begins for the Jacksonville Jaguars at 12pm EST today. This is our Super Bowl, folks. We’re going to try and gather every piece of news, every rumor, and every update in our live blogs through the rest of the week right here. a regression Cody Whitehair Jersey , or will the Bears actually improve on D in 2019?" The Bears DenNotesXs and OsSuperfansWeekend Poll: Will The Bears Defense Regress?New,144commentsWill the change of coordinators and the loss of two starters cause a regression, or will the Bears actually improve on D in 2019?CDTOne of the biggest questions this offseason is whether the Bears defense will regress following the departure of Vic Fangio, Adrian Amos and Bryce Callahan. Fangio is noted by most as one of the top defensive minds in the NFL and has lead dominant defenses for multiple teams. Adrian Amos has developed in to a solid, reliable and healthy strong safety while Bryce Callahan displayed great talent at nickle when he was healthy. The Bears replaced these three men with Chuck Pagano, a coach who has had success as both the coordinator of a top league defense in Baltimore and as a head coach in Indianapolis; Buster Skrine, a talented but risk-taking nickle and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Clinton-Dix http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-jonathan-bullard-jersey , a young player coming over (indirectly) from Green Bay, already has an All-Pro selection under his belt in his four year career. Additionally, the Bears have drafted Duke Shelley, cornerback out of Kansas State, who has already flashed signs that he is the long-term answer at nickle. The Bears return the most solid defensive core in the NFL. Khalil Mack, Eddie Jackson, Akiem Hicks Womens Akiem Hicks Jersey , Danny Trevathan and company are as solid of a unit as the league has seen in years. Let’s go ahead and recognize the elephant in the room at this point. Whether the Bears regress depends far more on player health than any other factor. For the purposes of this poll, we are going to set health aside because there’s nothing whatever we can do about that, and assume that Chicago has the same general health level as last year. The Bears defense was very healthy, but key players did miss significant amount of times especially in critical games (Eddie Jackson and Khalil Mack in particular missed significant time). So, I’m leaving it up to you. Fact: Kyle Shanahan owns the world’s largest collection of hot dog memorabilia"Former Falcons offensive coordinator and current 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan should’ve just run the damn ball! isn’t on the figurative “hot seat,” but after a lackluster 2018, his seat is officially warm. And as he embarks on the treacherous journey ahead Bobby Massie Jersey , Shanahan doesn’t mind keeping a safety blanket nearby.According to Ian Rapoport, the 49ers plan to sign Levine Toilolo. He’s actually already listed on their official roster, so this appears to be a done deal. Levine hasn’t done much since leaving the Falcons, racking up 21 receptions and 263 receiving yards (1 touchdown) with the Lions last season. Interestingly his PFF grade of 66.5 ranked 29th among NFL TEs in 2018. As you know, both Tevin Coleman and Ben Garland signed with the 49ers during the off-season. Daniel Brunskill is also with the 49ers now. (He spent a couple years with the Falcons in the immediate aftermath of the Super Bowl debacle.) The 49ers signed him in early April. Mike Person was on the Falcons roster during their Super Bowl run but was cut in October of that year. (Lucky him!) The 49ers signed him to a three year, $9 million extension in March. Is this a deliberate strategy by Shanny to reclaim the glory he let slip through his pass-happy fingers? Of course it is! Discuss.
Eli Manning Womens Junior Seau Jersey ,a link by virtue of when and where they were drafted. All three quarterbacks came into the NFL in 2004 and Manning was selected by the Chargers with the first overall pick. He was quickly traded to the Giants for a package that included Rivers, who was selected fourth overall, and Roethlisberger went to the Steelers with the 11th pick. The trio has seen great success and longevity over their years as starters in the NFL, but this week will mark a major change for the group. Manning has been benched and Roethlisberger is out for the season with an elbow injury, which leaves Rivers as the only one still leading his offense. The start will be the 211th in a row for Rivers, which moves him past Manning for the second-longest consecutive start streak by a quarterback. Head coach Anthony Lynn marveled at that durability this week while also noting how fragile it can be.“It feels good, but you just never know,” Lynn said, via ESPN.com. “He [could be] just one hit away Doug Flutie Jersey , but he has avoided that his whole career. That’s one of the things that I really loved about him coming here, was his availability. The guy shows up and he’s there for you every single week.”With players like Derwin James, Hunter Henry, Adrian Phillipss and Russell Okung missing from the lineup, having a healthy and capable Rivers is as important as ever for the Chargers. The 2018 regular season will conclude in Music City on Sunday night, where the Colts and Titans will play for a wild-card playoff berth. Or maybe more. The winner between these 9-6 teams makes the playoffs. Should Houston (10-5) fall at home to Jacksonville (5-10), the Indianapolis-Tennessee victor earns the AFC South title. That’s why two of the NFL’s more interesting but less glamorous teams were flexed to prime time. But it’s an intriguing matchup featuring two rookie head coaches, Mike Vrabel for Tennessee, Frank Reich for Indianapolis http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-trevor-williams-jersey , who know something about getting to and succeeding in the playoffs from their playing careers.Unfortunately for them, neither of their teams has the pedigree that the Patriots would show when Vrabel was a linebacker for them, or the Bills in the 1990s when Reich was a quarterback.Still, any game in which the winner gets into the postseason is worthy of the spotlight. Oh, and get this: Should Baltimore and Pittsburgh win and the Colts, No. 10 in the AP Pro32, and the No. 14 Titans tie, the Steelers grab the final AFC wild card. Why? about officials for perceived slights Womens Tom Waddle Jersey , including coaches being fined for those complaints.Bears coach Matt Nagy took a different tack this week, apologizing to officials after he yelled at them for one they got right.Via聽Colleen Kane of the聽, Nagy said his emotions got the better of him when he screamed about not being able to pull off a quick-change in the second quarter. The Bears were trying to get the punt team off the field and the offense back on, and it might have worked if tackle Bobby Massie hadn’t knocked over line judge Carl Johnson, leading to an official timeout.Nagy lost it for a second, going on the field to argue, before regaining his composure at halftime.鈥淚t would have been nice [for Massie] to avoid him so that didn鈥檛 happen,鈥?Nagy said. 鈥淎t that point in time, that鈥檚 such a crucial part of the game, my emotions [took over]. 鈥?I talked to those guys. I’m shocked. I’m stunned. I don’t have words. Truly, this was a magical night. For those of you who don’t know, the NFC (and the Bears by extension) spent Wednesday afternoon grittily rallying from down 3-1 in the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown all the way to victory. The NFC’s performance was truly a magnificent display of poise and determination that saw them battle through a 9-foot glass wall, mental mistakes Sam Acho Jersey , and questionable officiating before finally pulling out the ‘dub. With Bears’ players competing in all 5 of the after-evening's events, we’ve got plenty to cover in this very, very serious recap —let’s get to it.Best HandsLets face facts: our favorite sophomore QB slumped hard in this event. After a fairly hot start saw him complete the first 6 stations with 2 throws or less each, it took Trubisky and Mike Evans NINE throws to successfully connect over the 9-foot wall. That’s... well, that’s less than good. To give some perspective, Trubisky had thrown 8 passes during the 6 stations they’d faced before he more than doubled his total passes trying to beat the wall. And with 9-Foot Glass Wall hitting free agency this offseason, we’ll need to hope that nobody in the North picks him up. Mike Evans probably could’ve caught the fifth ball, but you still want to see more out of your franchise quarterback.Even worse, Trubisky and Evans’ time of ~59 seconds was by far the slowest of the 4 competing pairs (other pairs recorded ~30s, ~45s, ~45s). Given that the NFC lost by about three seconds, this loss was pretty clearly on Mitch. The AFC takes a 1-0 lead, providing the NFC some early adversity.Precision PassingThis event was an adventure. First off, the NFL changed the rules such that the points are cumulative by conference; each competing player’s points are added with the rest of their conference to determine the winner. Now notice I said “player” and not “quarterback” — that’s because, new to this year, each conference fielded a non-quarterback as well as the customary two QBs. As Von Miller led off the competition with a sterling 2 points, I realized in that the NFL had pretty clearly done this to visually prop up their quarterbacks. Kinda like having an average person run in the Olympics. They might’ve gotten away with it too if it wasn’t for Adam Thielen. Thielen had himself a solid performance, pounding out 10 points for the NFC and giving the boys in blue a sizable lead headed into round 2.After that was a battle of 2017 prospects http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-devin-hester-jersey , Deshaun Watson versus Mitchell Trubisky. Watson looked to struggle early but still piled on 10 points in his last 20 seconds to finish with 15 total. As he finished, a slight controversy arose; Watson’s final throw seemed to have hit the rim of the deep target while barely breaking the paper before bouncing out. “Does that count?” members of the NFC asked. The referees quickly gathered and awarded Watson the points, but you be the judge.Following his peer, young Mitchell quickly hit both deep throws (left AND right, haters) before missing about a foot high on every throw after that. The unashamed velocity and beautiful spirals that accompanied his passes were awesome to see, but unfortunately they failed to find their marks. Mitch finished out by clanking 2 footballs off the rim of the 5-point target before aliens moved the target and robbed him of his final 5. Those darn aliens, always causing trouble. While Mitch didn’t dominate the event (he finished with 11), he did do better than the 5 points Andrew Luck put up. By my math, that means Mitch is 2.2x the quarterback Luck is. Now we know. The NFC won this one so the score moves to 1-1.40 Yard SplashThis event was basically John Fox’s paradise as 20 of the NFL’s premiere players spent 2:00 handing buckets of water off to each other. Akiem Hicks and Mitch Trubisky both showed that Fox had taught them well — I don’t think they fumbled a single handoff. Unfortunately, HOF and greatest second greatest pretty great Bear Brian Urlacher couldn’t stop the AFC from dunking him. This brings us to our second major rules controversy. After Hicks and Trubisky had showed their mastery of the art of the handoff, each team took turns having someone throw a football at the dunk tank target. While this was intended to be a one-at-a-time process, the AFC broke protocol and launched approximately 4 simultaneous footballs before dunking the precariously placed Urlacher. When Lach asked about this, ESPN’s Lisa Salters clearly dodged this question so make sure you keep your tin foil hat on hand. If you think the NFL isn’t out to get the NFC, just ask a Saints fan.AFC goes up 2-1.Gridiron GauntletThis event is always pretty awesome, and it remained as such until Bears’ Akiem Hicks ran the wrong way following his completion of the heavy bag gauntlet. Hicks had finished but illegally approached George Kittle and was forced to go back, losing valuable time. Kittle wasn’t able to recover the lead and the AFC went up 3-1. You can’t have mental mistakes like that in these big moments, but I know nobody’s more upset than Akiem at his mistake. I’m sure we’ll see him on the Today show soon.Epic Pro Bowl DodgeballAs a reminder, the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown doesn’t make any sense. For some reason Womens Danny Trevathan Jersey , the contest ends with a two-out-of-three game of dodgeball that awards 3 points to the winner, meaning that the NFC (losers of 3 of 4 events thus far) still have a chance to win. Of course they could simply have three games of dodgeball that are each worth a point, but that might actually make sense and nobody wants that.Game 1:This game has been struck from my memory because both Bears players were part of the NFC getting destroyed. Trubisky gets eliminated as fast as humanly possible, Hicks is knocked out while taunting, and not one AFC player takes a dodgeball to the face. A real bummer of a game, AFC up 1-0.Game 2:NFC won without any Bears on the team. This was a complete coincidence. Tie dodgeball, 1-1.Game 3:And here it was. When all hope seemed lost, Mitch Trubisky and the rest of the NFC All-Stars arched their backs and told destiny it could go pick on someone it’s own size. While Trubisky didn’t technically contribute to this win, he didn’t get thrown out and I’m gonna call that positive. NFC wins dodgeball, goes up 4-3 and is crowned the champions of the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown. As you can see, this was a historic night. It had everything —the agony of defeat, the thrill of victory, and the hilarity of human error. An instant classic. One day, 10 years from now, someone is going to ask you where you were the night that Akiem Hicks got hit with a dodgeball while obviously taunting. And to that you’ll simply say: “I was sitting on my couch at home, watching a pre-recorded game of grown men playing dodgeball. And I loved it.”
